This weekend, I attended the Gatsby Summer Afternoon, hosted by the Art Deco Society of California. The idea is to re-create an elegant afternoon 1920s party like the ones Jay Gatsby would host in F. Scott Fitzgerald's famed novel. Everything at the party, from the clothing to the cars, had to look or feel like the time between 1920 and the '40s pre-World War II.

Thanks to our Show & Tell poster, Remigijus_interactive_Ltd, I think this is a Brownie model Kodak camera from the 1930s.

The first image also features a vintage tablecloth, antique silver, and a cookbook on baking bread called Fleischmann's Recipes, from Fleischmann's Yeast.

On top of the cookbook is the "Offical Guide Book," from the Golden Gate International Exposition, held on Treasure Island (between Oakland, CA, and San Francisco) in 1939, which celebrated the completion of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.

I'm not sure what the box on the right side of the table is, or what it contains. Can anyone help me out on this one?

The second picture is just a couple straw suitcases, containing dishes and picnicking gear.

The image on the left is especially beautiful. I am not sure what kind of camera is on the table, however it is not a Kodak Brownie. Please notice the viewfinder lens are horizontal, they were vertical on the No. 3 Brownie which is similar in size to the camera in your picture. Hopefully another photographer can identify the camera for you. Thanks for sharing.
