My Great Grandfather Joseph Ruffs original Ocean Passage Ticket from Bremen, Germany to Baltimore on April 4,1889. I found this very interesting as it only cost him $33.20 to come to America on one of the Steamers of the Norddeutscher Lloyd Steamship Co, Baltimore Line.

I also noticed that he was in steerage, and that this ticket was also for a train ride from Baltimore MD to Indy. IN. I love it when things like this still exist!!

This is a wonderful image. I am interested in using it in our Baltimore House museum for a section on German Immigration. Would love to contact the owner.
