Found this little item in a thrift store. It is made out of china and looks like it has gold trim maybe. It says it is made in Japan. It is approximately 3 1/2 " long. It is a neat item, but other than being a souvenir, I cannot figure out what it is supposed to represent. Thought someone on here might know what it is. I was thinking that it could just be a knick knack, ring holder ? Maybe it was just a design some one liked. Thanks for looking !

The shape makes me think it's a stylized string instrument, like a violin.

It looks like a small items holder for a dresser, but why have that as a souvenir of Detroit? interesting.
it is a great looking item.

Thanks Bootson for the comment. That is kind of what I was thinkink to begin with, but I have never been able to find another one like it or any reference to it. Seems strange to me that it wasn't automotive related coming out of Detroit ! Thanks for stopping by. ThriftyGypsy
