I bought this item and it was a bargain. I just love the color. I walked into an antique store and they had one similar to it... so what kind of vase is this I wonder?

These are made by the Anchor Hocking Co. in a variety of colors . I have them in red , blue and green .
I also meant to state that the ruby red are a dark red and are hard to see through . Unlike the one above .
The ones I have are not painted they are colored glass . I know I have washed color off some glass items in the past and I can tell the difference now .
Well I put it through the dishwasher twice... then I scrub till it shined... and the verdict is.... it seems to be the real thing :)

the thing is I had all the lights on and I took the pic right beneath the chandelier, plus I had flash on the camera... anyhow it doesn't matter because either way this is going to my craft pile :) Thanks ya'all
I used to run into these at garage sales in my student days. I bought one just like this and gave it to an aunt who loves fine glass. These vases might not be rare or even scarce, but they are perfect. And the flowers don't play second string to the vase.
