Glasseyed

This is a fabulous mid century modern /Eames era art pottery bowl, that I have had for probably 20 years or more, the organic form in design is just awesome. The maker is unknown to me however it is marked with the number 481 and an incised name under the glaze, that is impossible to decipher. And I don't really care. The form alone blew me away when I first saw it, and I had to have it.
The piece is eggshell thin porcelain on the upper edges and very light weight.I tried to take a good side shot to show how thin and fragile the piece is.The edges are hand cut and full of movement simply by the design.I hope I did the piece justice in trying to share with you all.
Glassy you might want to to try and get more information on this, as it resembles a few of Eva Ziesels designs

Many years ago there was a TV series called Mork & Mindy. He arrived in an egg shaped space ship, which when I clicked on your photo it took me straight back to that time. I hope to find one similar.
