    These photos have been passed down in the family and show street scenes in the early 1900s in Crown Point, IN. The first photo shows my grandfather and his buddies in front of a Garage. Grandpa is on the bench in the middle in the white shirt. Judging from his age, I think the photo was taken about 1915, maybe earlier. I’m out of my comfort zone here, but I believe the contraption in front is a portable gas pump. Is this correct? The third photo shows an early motorcycle/bicycle shop. I’m guessing that’s an early gas pump in front of the store. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks! :)

      You are correct on all the three. I was in Crown Point last Wednesday and had lunch. The Courthouse is beautiful, love the whole town.

      I have a fuel cart or portable gas pump exactly like the one in your photo, it's currently being restored. I will post pics when restoration is complete. Thanks for showing the photo's!
