As promised ChickPicker, this is a modern version of your lovely originals. It is also hand-blown Murano glass. I saw an identical one on eBay today in a very pretty amber coloured glass but mis-advertised as antique. Obviously, this is nowhere near as old or fragile as your's and the stopper is, I think, a bit of a let-down but I love the richness of the colours. It caught my eye in a little shop on Pultney Bridge in Bath (England) a couple of years ago - my god-daughter got married in the Assembly Rooms, a fabulous building dripping with historical associations for anyone with a love of Jane Austen or Georgette Heyer and I bought it as a reminder of a wonderful weekend.
Thank you Daisymay, for posting your bottle, its very pretty and extremely vibrant in color, and very much like mine but the top being so completely different even down to the stem. Mine has a long thin stem as part of the stopper. I believe at the time around the 80's or early 90's Murano did offer this set of 4 in two colors . 1. being the blue and green set like mine and a light purple and amber set, but your right they are certainly not antiques. Sorry I missed that E-bay auction on the bottle you mentioned, I would of liked to have known if they sold it and for how much. In this economy it seems like prices are dropping out on most things -though its a great time to buy for a collector. By the way, its so nice that your bottle holds such a nice memory for you, I liked reading that part.
Thank you for your nice comments. The purple and amber sounds an interesting colour combination. The amber bottle on eBay had a nasty chip in the rim so I don't suppose it went for much, if at all; the last time I looked it hadn't received a bid. Yes, you're right, now is the time to buy - I have bought several really nice bottles on eBay recently, and paid very little for them. I'll get around to putting them on Show and Tell one of these days, when I finally get to grips with my camera!
