Already a lot of years ago I inharited this stunning ring with 6 foiled rose cut diamonds and closed back. The diamonds are set in silver. The back of the ring is in yellow (I think at least 14K) gold. The diamonds are quite huge especialy the two in the middle. In earlier times I let enlarge the ring and then I did'nt know not yet much of the value of this ring. I'am afraid that perhaps with this action they also removed present marks. But I'm not sure if there has been at all. According the setting and style of this ring I suppose it is Georgian. Is there a jewelry collector can tell me why there are to find almost always five stone rings and mine has six??
I'm glad I just found an equal ring this is Georgian even seven stone diamond silver on gold ring circa 1800. So my suggestion this is a Georgian ring is right with even bigger diamonds !
I still wonder why my diamond stone ring has six instead of the "normal" five stones? Is there anyone who has the clue??
Vertraio50 thanks for loving
Up till now there is no collector who could suggest why this ring has six foild back diamonds instead of the usual 5? Who could help??
Agram.m im not sure about why there are six instead of 5 but I do think its a georgian piece.

I was a long time looking for an equal example to show my suggestion was right this is a Georgian ring. I found it at last on RubyLane. I'm glad I have the proof now.
