Found an interesting bottle at a garage sale. Have been trying to date and get some idea of it's current value. I know from the phone number listed on the bottle NEwstead 2200 that it was manufactured before the mid 1960's it is likely no older than 1920's since the cap which was 1st manufactured in the 1920's . The cap is still functioning and the label intact. Bottle is obviously machine made and the CO name on label is St. Louis crystal water & Soda Co. Duraglass and several numbers as well as the co name are on the bottom.
Any ideas how to narrow down the date/Value?
    Help would be appreciated.

St. Louis Crystal Water & Soda Co. was owned by my great grandfather. There plant was on Boyle & HI way 40. The bottle you have looks like it was made in the 1930's, as it has its trademark on it (that ugly flower). Value wise, I don’t believe it goes for very much. My mother had two lamps made out of these bottles, and gave them to me for Christmas. Mr. Charles D. Bolin was the owner of the company, along with the American Thermometer Co. He screwed up big time, as he helped Dr. Kellogg raise the capital needed to start Kellogg's Corn Flakes, but sold his share off very early, as he thought Dr. Kellogg had a few screws loos. I have an article in the paper, dated back in 1951, and it said had he held on to his shares of stock, he would be worth $15,000,000.00 back then (bummer). Are you interested in selling this bottle, as I am trying to collect what I can from Crystal Water? When it came to my grandfather and two uncles, the buck stopped there. I live off a pension for being a 100% service connected disabled veteran, and as we know, they do not pay us very well. I contacted a virus in my liver, that has now reached stage four (end stage) cirrhosis of the liver. And I am only 52 years old. You can reach me at labolin01@msn.com. Thanks for your time.
      Sincerely,
      Mr. Lee Bolin

It is too bad that my uncle is somewhat of a recluse, as he will not give anyone his phone number. If I have the nerve, I may stop by his house, and inraduce myself, as I have not seen him since my mother died, and that was 13 years ago. Still I will copy this photo, and try to take it over to him. My father was disowned by my grandfather for reasons I realy don't know. I do know at Christmas and birthdays, not to expect on penny from him. I worked as a letter carrier in Clayton and Ladue, and one time I pealed back his bank statement; the man had over $200,000.00 in his checking account, but never gave any of the grandchildren one cent, My mother divorced my father when I was about 8 years old, he moved to CA. and stopped paying child support or maintenance for his three kids. He was my grandfather's first born son. But he never helped my mother out at all, she had to work her tail off, to support the three children. I have never seen such a mean man in all my life. I grew up with my great aunt (grandfather's sister) and she even hated him for being so cheap. Now his sister, was one of the nicest person you could ever meet, she is the one who gave me $5.00 a week for an allowance. Sorry to bother you about family affairs, but I will try to show him that photo for you, and get back to you, Sincerely, Lee Bolin
