These are called "ball tap knobs" are were predominantly used in the 1930's and 40's when law required tap lines to be marked with the brand and brewery. The casing was made from catalin or bakelite usually, with an enameled metal insert advertising the beer name. This assortment was bought from the son of a Frankenmuth Brewery worker who collected them from his friends at brewers conventions.
Hi,
I would like some info on a knob you have in your collection, if you would. I am tryingh to sell some of my Dads and this one I have only seen in your collection. It is a schlitz knob (white and metal). It is 6 over from right front and 9 back.
Any help you would offer would be great.
I am at whthavenlady49@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Barb
