I got this from an older lady (70 or more) and I think she told me that it had been her mother's doll. I have seen things with eyes like this before, but cannot remember where or when. The face is kind of a starched cloth thing with painted rouge, which I am sure has long since faded. Her feet are big and flat on the bottom and she is stuffed, as you can see. Measures about 16" tall, 8" across hips and the hed is about 5" wide by 6" high. I am curious as the age and manufacture of this. Anybody have an idea? Thanks.......MG

Hi your pressed cloth face doll is likely from 40's to 50's . Makers are sometimes hard to narrow down with no label on doll as there were several that did dolls in style of yours . She is precious
      Thank you for sharing her

THANKS! She lied! Could you direct me to where I might see another like it? Or perhaps the name of some companies that you mentioned.

I will try and find a photo similair to your doll. many times a person will say this was my mothers dolls so they assume it was her's as a child . But Grandma also got newer dolls or collected them or found at a yard sale ect . So while it was her Mom's her Mom may have got it much later it was not hers as a child . Plastic for eyes had not even been invented at that time placing her into 40's and 50's when in late 40's early 50's plastic was starting to be used . I will look for something like her and post link . Value she has little in todays market :-( Hope you didn't pay alot
