This item was in my fathers office in the 1950's when it was in great shape and then it moved from house to house and now sits in a room where it is never used. I plan to have the leather redone one day but as that is usually very expensive I want to make sure it has some real value first. I was told it is an early Eames design but could not find any pictures of it anywhere. It is so comfortable and well made that I image if its not Eames it is another designer of some value.
Hi Lynda.
This chair is not an Eames design. It isn't even American. It is in fact a chair designed by a pair of designers named Prueben and Fabricius. A Danish design from the late 1960's.
A beautiful chair . I hope you do not reupholster it as original leather is always a nice thing. I would be interested in purchasing if you ever feel ready to part with it.
They usually bring 2-3k at auction .
Lynda , you there?
