This is an 8-day wind clock in perfect condition. I've been told it is at least 100 years old. I've had it 40 years and understand my dealer bought it in Utah. I see no other on this web site. The bottom has the number 5479 stamped in the wood. Also the number 223 is hand written in blue. Can anyone tell me more than I know? (that should be easy!)
I'm certain, that you have a Seth Thomas twin spire Steeple Mantel Clock model from their series called the "Sharon". I see an exact match in my reference book except it has the Self-starting electric hour and half-hour strike movement No. A-1641. That clock is named the "Sharon 3E" circa 1953 and is listed on page 684 of Tran Du Ly's "Seth Thomas Clocks and Movements" (Clock #2306). Seth Thomas often offered a clock with the option of a mechanical or an electric movement. The names were generally the same with the exception of "E" for electric or "W" for wind-up. Although your mechanical clock is not mentioned in my reference material, using the Seth Thomas naming convention, I would guess that you have a "Sharon 3W" circa 1953. I hope this helps.

This is definitely your clock "Sharon"! :) Tran Duy Ly's books are the gold standard for antique clock collectors. I have yet to find another author that even comes close. There are a lot of good online references but it is still hard to find what you are looking for there without a keyword or two. Happy collecting.
