    It is glass and seems to be painted white inside with cherry blossoms painted on the outside in relief. It has a wood base. I love the way it looks both lit and unlit. Goes great with a lot of my grandmother's Asian antiques.

      I'm surprised this doesn't also light up from the inside.I this it would really set off the relief.Beautiful lamp TSA !!!
