I inherited a lovely set of Franciscan Ware, the Desert Rose pattern, from my late Mother-in-Law. We just unwrapped them this summer, and put them on display in our home. These particular dishes are from the early '50s. I just photographed some of the more interesting pieces, there are quite a few more, including lots of plates, saucers, cups, salad plates, bowls, and a lovely tea pot.

This is really pretty. The desert rose set was at its zenith in collectibility in the mid to late 90s. People were insane to complete their sets. It has calmed down considerably but people would still covet this sweet set. Love it!

Franciscan started out with more than a few patterns, including eventually some fine china. Think it's Lenox who owns the company now, and the only pattern they still make is Desert Rose. Easy enough to date by the hallmarks. Looks like you've got a nice set.
