Black lacquer cabinet inlaid with ivory and white jade with gold leaf hand painted decor. This is real black lacquer and not the synthetic polymer black lacquer used today. Thick and hard like chalkboard slate. Unsure of origin or age but ivory has crosshatching and jade will not scratch. Three drawers and one shelf inside, old style wood peg construction. Gold dust paint, cabinet was lacquered red then black and areas of flowers and birds have red, black and gold colors. Very nice art work. Would like to know origin and date?

1930's Italian Murano Fish, with labels.

Seen two lacquer cabinets, kind of simular ones, on eBay without any inlaid ivory and jade; just red paint for $15 grand. The seller claims Chinese 19th century? My guess was Korean or Japanese? The eBay antique forum said Hong Kong mass produced in 1970's and if that was the case you would think I could find another one?

love the Italian Murano fish and your cabinet - My parents loved this style in the 70's I love it! Nice piece

Still have not seen another one like the cabinet; and the Murano fish are unsigned so they must be real Murano.
