Rummaging through parents basement, my brother and I found a box labeled Marklin Trains. Inside we found six red boxes with the marklin logos. I would like some more information and possible auction value from a reliable honest collector or hobbieist, on this set of trains which includes the original transformer, wiring, and track.
Here is the description of the contents:
* 3 green all metal passenger cars with grey roofs; each car has a 327 stamped on it
* 1 mail car with sliding door; 328 stamped on it
* 1 six wheeled steam engine in box stamped 311b; engine has 89005 stamped under window
* 2 - 311 k/br coal cars, one in box ( some particles of coal still spilled in box)
* 1 - Esso 314 tank car in box
* 1 - white cattle car 325 stamped on box
* 1 - red log car with logs stamped cm 800 on box
* 1 - green caboose that matches green passenger car
* 1 - blue transformer with four red push buttons with Marklin Germany 474/4 stamped on back; all wiring in plastic bags
* 6 - curves tracks with three rails all stamped Marklin
* 6 - straight tracks with three rails all stamped Marklin
Everything in wonderful shape even after all these years
Thanks for your help,

Hello. I have all of these in my collection. At this time, there is not much of a market for these as they were mass produced. Marklin is a German manufacturer that made the best toys in Germany. Look at the Marklin collection I posted in "Collectors Weekly".
