Hi all,
Does anyone happen to know anything about this sign?
It's been sitting in my basement for 20+ years after being found by my father buried in the ground acting as a kind of retaining wall to keep dirt from getting into the basement. All I know is that the sign is porcelain, from Baltimore Enamel & Novelty Company, is curved for some reason and is quite old. The only thing I've found out about it says the sign is from 1910.
Its dimensions are 24" tall by 18" wide if that helps.
Can it hang on my wall for the next 20+ years? Let me know. Nice!
This is a really nice old porcelain sign. You may want to contact the company here to possibly find some more information on it.

Hopefully you can find out what you want via these two links. Good luck my friend! : )
What I have also learned bcs829 is to get a minimum of at least 3 opinions on an item. The more the better. Once again good luck and may you find what you seek on this item. Peace.... : )
It is a curved porcelain "corner sign" These were usually attched to the corner of a store or pole so they could be viewed from multiple angles. If you look at turn of the century postcards, you'll often see a corner sign or two in pictures of stores or taverns. Theres an in depth interview on this very site, which you can read here:
