      Do you have the key?
    2. papa papa, 13 years ago
No key, but it has a plate saying C&NW RR and not just scratched into the lock.

Again very nice lock, I worked for the CNW for 17 years, have a couple styles of their keys, I might have one to fit it.

The C & NW went through my home town. As a kid we used to ride the train to downtown Chicago and put pennies in the track so the train could smash them. Thinking back, it is amazing how close we played to those trains!
There was another train that went through there called The Aurora & Elgin. If I remember correctly, it was an electric train and went out of business sometime around 1958 or 1959. We played in the abandoned railroad cars for years.
      Thanks for the memories.

Not into RR collectables and tried to list it once on eBat but they pulled it on day one; guessing it made their copies look fake?

Certain RR locks are part of the prohibited items listing. It is part of the post 911 changes to ebay.
