Your doll is newer porcelain doll made as a collectible doll . It should have who made it on back of her neck under hair . There are so may companies and artists that produced these kinds of dolls hard to know which one unless marked by them . They made a authentic papoose to display her with. The market for these newer dolls has dropped so low as pretty as she is you may decide to just enjoy her . Newer means after 1970's to today to me . Hope this helps a bit
Thank you very much, i checked for markings and there were'nt any, and although the papoose and cradleboard look authentic the doll is actually a head there is no body, just stuffing.....
Yes it is nice for decorating but I doubt it was even made by a Native American . More likely a one of the hundreds of dolls companies that arose in 80-2000 as they were selling for alot of money to adult collectors . The problem is that they were produced in masses and saved as collector dolls . Early dolls were never meant to be collected but played with so very few survived and they can not be reproduced today . Only so many exist and that is all of them not assembly line to make a 1950's doll so although doll values have fallen over past yr they likely will come back up when ecomomy improves to be preserved to passed down another generation
Thank You very much, the info is much appreciated :)
