This is a mortise door lock with what are generally referred to as 'Mineral" knobs. Ceramic with a glaze that resembles polished stone/'mineral'. Also known as Bennington glaze. This type of door hardware was available from ca. 1870 thru 1900+. Any makers mark on the lock that might help date it?
