WE PURCHASED THIS CHAIR WITH A BLACK WALNUT DESK.
GRANDSON NOW HAS DESK ( if you are a grandparent you know how hard it is to say NO )
THE CHAIR WAS MANUFACTURED, TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, IN THE LATE 1800'S
THE CHAIR IS BLACK WALNUT AND IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE
IT WAS REUPHOLSTERED APPROXIMATELY 35 YEARS AGO.
IT IS VERY COMFORTABLE AND DO NOT WANT TO GIVE IT UP
IT ROCKS,SWIVELS AND TRAVELS ON CASTERS.

More info indicates the chair was produced between 1885 and 1894
Other sources indicate chairs manufactured after 1894 do not bear the LIONS HEAD MEDALLION IMBEDDED INTO CHAIR. (see photo #2)
