I have this really cool vintage Coit Reel I found in a tackle box recently. This is the model C version in a cool electric blue. On the reel itself it says electric reel co....Mendota, California.Does anyone know anything about these reels? If you have any information let me know.

      Hi,

My Grandparents worked for Coit in the 50's and gave my Dad one of these exactly the same as yours. Frank Coit trained the people who worked on his farm to build these. I am looking for a few parts for my Dad's to give to him on his 80th birthday so if you would like to sell it let me know.
      Thanks

I have a vintage produce crate that has the Coit's logo and the words "California Melons" and some verbiage about their growing process in an oval shape that's in a similar blue color. I have a feeling that Frank Coit was partial to this color. I love the crate and having a part of my state's agricultural history. I turned it into a coffee table.
