Do not know much about this one. Large 24 x 29 inch picture in old wood frame; from the looks of the lady I would say Siam princess, the letter on the floor say's Kelly? Looking for the story of the artwork, historical significance of the letter at her feet?
Knowone knows?

Presently own this piece -and was obviously sold by rudolf Lesch antiques I'n New York .. Beautiful rendering would be curious of some value

No clue on value; still hanging on my wall. One of the few portrait paintings I own. Don't really like portrait paintings looking back at me; but she is ok.
My parents had the same painting on the wall for years. They got it when my dad was staioned in Sinapore when he was in RAF back in early 60's. It's a Siam princess by Sir Gerald Kelly. I always wondered what was in the letter when I was a little kid. Nice memories looking at this.
