Dutch dolls were donated to our thrift shop. I tried finding a name or markings on them but can. The clothing prevents you from checking for it is not removable. Under the pants and woman skirt there is a rod. The face is not plastic, but not sure if its porclain. It is a hard surface. I was wondering what era they would make these, or are these just collectibles that you can purchase when you visit the area. Do they hold any value? Sorry for poor quality of pictures, were taken with cell phone. Did not have reqular camera with me. Any suggestions or thoughts on these dolls would be appreciate. I think there great.
Hi I just can't see faces clear enough to know but from what I can see painting is right for the 20's-30's But clothes and what they are made of helps to see better . I don't know what you mean by a rod / Do they have legs does rod have a sharp point orflat surface? It could be that it went into a stand . They have all the look of Novelty dolls or tourist dolls but sorry I can't tell what they are made of by the photo I would have to make a quess . If maybe you get try to get one closer up that I could enlarge better . The painting is the tell all of face and age .
Thank you for your response. I will take a better picture of it and repost it. As far as the legs having a sharp point or flat, I can't tell because it goes right into the shoe.
So the rod is there leg or not ? Or does it run along side leg ?
