    purchased in august 1967 when aged 20--cost £30 from multi-broadcast shop in birmingham city centre-england. fm-mw-6 shortwaves with bandspread-dial tuning light-battery/tuning meter-tone control.

      this set had 2 telescopic aerials 1 for fm or vhf band and one for short waves--a 6 by 4 inch speaker-output power 3 watts.
