This is another flea market find. I could not find much information on it but I was able to detrmine that it was made to be a penny bank. It looks like it would hold two stacks of 1 cent boxes of chicklets, but there is not any type of mechanism that would dispense it. Also the housing is plastic and the Chicklet display is cardboard. I guess it worked on the "Honor" system, put in a penny and take out a box of gum. There wasn't a date on it, but it did have the name Hasbro on the back. This was and still is I think a toy company, so maybe it was actually made to play with and nothing else. Has any one else ever seen one of these before ? I would appreciate any information I can get ! Thanks for looking,T.G.

I would guess it to be a toy bank. Not sure when it was made but you would simply put a penny in and a penny saved,,,you know.

Thanks Signaholic, I was pretty sure that was what it was. There is no type of mechanical operation inside. Thanks for the comment and help ! T.G.
