Purchased this vase from a blown glass shop in Florence Oregon, it is a good copy of the Italian murano masters. The small shop offered to engrave any murano masters signature to the base of the piece. I chose to leave it unsigned as just a blown glass vase. The glass shop also had Murano Italy labels in several styles that he claimed he got off the internet in sheets of 100. It is a nice vase on it's own without a forged artist attribution or copied stick on label. Was not a cheep vase, but not made by the Italians. This is an American copy of a murano vase done in a head shop full of bongs and pot pipes. Cool huh?

      Hi Papa

Engraving a signature of a known master is not only illegal but unconscionable. The only way to thwart this is that you must know how a master signed his work - i.e acid etched, diamond point or similar. This is the only way to truly tell and also by the style of writing used

Watched the glass blower make this one. Not sure where he learned the trade but came from the coast of Oregon. Do have some real Italian Murano glass and the vase is close but doesn't have the ease of flow like the real ones. Has hesitation in the vase.
