Back in the early 1900's J.I. Case of the thrashing machine fame loaned the Racine Motor Co. money. They subsequently went broke and Mr. Case found himself the owner of a car company. Case autos were built from 1907 to (I believe) 1927.
This is a coal oil cowl lamp from one of thier cars. I found a picture of a 1917 that looks like it had the same lamp.
Very handsome automobiles.
