New York Central & Hudson River brass top bell bottom railroad lantern made by the Kelly Lamp Co., in Rochester, NY, in the late 1870's. The lantern is prominently marked NYC&HRR on the lid reflector and bears a patent date of 1875. The 6-inch, cobalt blue globe is prominently embossed NYC&HRR in the same lettering style and size as the embossed lid marking. The narrow chimney and double wire globe guard make this piece particularly eye-appealing. The fount is a two-tab Sangster spring plug-in style and is complete with an original no. 1 brass ratchet burner.
like the blue over the red ones.........looks in great shape.....
Awesome lantern , I collect lanterns as well.
