I don't know a thing about this, or even if it's from 1893. It's the only marking I can find on it.

It looks cast, there's a ridge all the way around it and it's magnetic. Ends are 1/2" and 5/8". I don't know what the hole is for, probably just a hanger, but it bevels inward from the front to the back.

      Hi Ferret!
I stumbled upon two of these a few months ago in a cool antique mall in Rockville, Indiana, and was just as intrigued as you. I went online and found a page for antique wrench collectors that said this wrench was a product of Dille & McGuire, of Richmond, Indiana, and was intended as a maintenance tool for the lawnmowers the company made in the 1910s. Apparently, the "1893" was just a model number. Since they have holes in them, I'm using them to make necklaces on brown leather cords.
