Ca. 1932 circus scrapbook that was created by Frederick E Loxley of Rhode Island. He was one of the first members of the Circus Fans Association and the White Tops. It is 50 pages (front and back w/ one side of a page blank). Any help is greatly appreciated.
The "White Top" items look good.
Is it all glued?
Yes, unfortunately it is.
Scott is the expert here but will just state that Frederick E. Loxley of Cranston, RI, was the chief auditor for the State of Rhode Island.

WOW! Thanks Solver, I Googled his name but nothing came up.
Amazing old circus photo's ! Love it . That was the treasure in your buy . Lots of people collect circus memorabilla . We have a circus musem here and have the Ringling Bros parade of all the old wagons once a yr. Not this yr anymore . A few yrs back the 12 lead horse wagon went astray and some people got hurt . I guess the wagons were just to fragile to keep them moving on a train once a yr . I sure remember these old times . Maybe not back this far . But I do remember what they called Freak shows and the man yelling step right up see the alligator lady ect. Glad these poor people are no longer abused in that way .
Thanks for sharing what a lot of history in your book !
Thanks Manikin. I agree with you about the people not being abused anymore. This book features some people who were labeled as "freaks".
It is a great piece of history and so right on poor people that were side shows, how must they have felt and as a kid I really thought they putmake upon them and they were in costume but alas they were real people with disabilites . Aside from that many fond memories of the circus .
