Is this a dresser or is this piece a marriage of two pieces. Also what value would these two pieces be worth? My wife has had them in her family a long time, and I have been told two different opinions. thanks for your help. Michael

Not much of a mystery here really. The dresser should only have the marble top. The piece on top is from some other furniture. The wash stand is correct. Very nice.

Value is hard to say. Some parts of the country value this furniture more than other areas. I did see the exact washstand on Antiques Roadshow and it appraised between $450 -$650. That was a "retail" price. The dresser $400-$500. Remember the word "retail."
