A 21 x 28 RC Gorman from 1977 signed in pencil. From Taos New Mexico in 1977. Kind of a Native American Pablo Ruiz Picasso artist.

Well I'll weigh in, my guess would be between $20-30,000. Am I close?

RC passed away in 2005, and since then original forgeries, lithographs, prints and posters have flooded the market. Again; the copy rights in America are not enforced and even though this is his original work, authenticating artworks in America is almost impossible due to the high end auction houses controling the appraisers and the forgeries. Just recently was told by all the high end auction houses a tortoiseshell inlaid sharkskin covered bedside chest did not meet their minimum requirement for appraisal. Sold it for $25,000 on eBay; but eBay dumped the listing claiming it violated their policy. Lucky the millionaire emailed me and paid cash; seriously the guy flew in on a private jet. Did not meet their minimum requirement for appraisal. Authenticating artworks in America is a scam because these auction houses scouts are still emailing me with pitiful offers on the item. I have found the French auction house Tajan - Ventes aux enchès to be quite honest in helping the elderly with authenticating their treasures; but in my opinion the American high end auctions work together to steal the elderly's treasures. Until our government enforces laws on the wealthy they made to appease the public; this is just another Native American artist who has mass copies of his work.
