The bag isn't worth much. The machine needs to be original Coca Cola red to get anything for it. Boy someone really roached that cooler didn't they?

I'd love to find one locally like this one to restore.

In regards to your Coca Cola cooler from your pictures you've put up, it don't really help all that much in seeing it for they could be better. I'd say and guess its about a 1928 -31 model made by Cavalier. I have a cooler very similar to yours, but it doesn't have the 5 cents insignia. These machines are water coolers for cooling the bottles sitting in water usually with the tops of the bottles exposed to pull out by hand,... then opened, You then take your little swigs for your coke buzz,.... and then you go pay for it.

The cooler's compressor is more than likely a belt driven compressor down underneath the cooler unless it has been changed over to freon 12 or 22 already. It is behind the screen on the backside of the cooler toward the bottom. More than likely it is the old sulfur dioxide compressor used then for cooling the evaporators sitting down in the water with a pump to recirculate the water and move it around. When the water reach about 36-38 degrees, a cold control would cycles off the compressor as to not freeze the coke or the water.

That cold temperature was the perfect desired temp to get that old familiar buzz people who drank those little bottles of coke would get through their noses. Now getting back to the restoration,.. you can take that as far as you would like. Some people today, rather that to have that brand new look, are turning to and liking the old rustic used look, but in a good working condition along with being cleaned up and presentable.

Hope this has helped a few of you out there in collectable-ville and with those man cave items. Forget about the buzz though, for the coke company was made by the government years ago to remove that ingredient that gave those people that buzz. It's a wonder the Government didn't make them change the name of there product.
