I found 2 of these signed German Musical Nutcrackers that read urheberrechtlich geschützt and one is dated 6/1990 and 11/1989. I cannot make out the signatures. The music boxes are by Reuge. What can I say, I went to a thrift store and bought these for almost nothing. They are carved wood. Any information on these would be appreciated.
Ok, I found out they are Hand Carved Nutcrackers made by Lothar (or Hanno or I don't know who "U" could be) Junghanel, one of Germany's few remaining licensed "Master Carvers".
These unique Nutcrackers are truly one of a kind. The features of their hands and face are remarkable. Their hair, unless painted, is pure rabbit fur.
They stand approximately 13" high and are signed by Lothar along with the date made and burnt trademark. They are each numbered.

One is a Union Calvary Trooper.
Love Reuge card that came with them :-) German made and a card God Bless America . You have to love them !
That is funny.

you can see it on every carved nutcracker. 1989 and 1990 is the year they are made if there is a Number it should be much lower 01 - 150 or so
