A great example of the Hulbert wood block with a two point barb (439 B). I have seen specimens with 2 or 3 blocks, this has 3. Patented in April 1884 by Arthur G. Hulbert of St Louis, MO. Patent #296,835. I've been experimenting with my photographic technique and with this image, everything came together. The image looks better than the wire.
Nice photo but hope you have had a tetanus shot . Looks dangerous to work with . I had heard old barb wire was collectible . Which I would have save all of it from farm

One of the nicest specimins I have ever seen. Could be from same find as the one in my collection. Great addition to your wood pile.
