The Underwood Vicious looks like a rhino horn emerging from a block of metal. It's two twisted strands are very heavy gauge. It is a massive wire. There are three plates per 18". It was patented in April 1884 by Henry M. Underwood of Kenosha, WI. This is a variation of the patent #297,203.
Great photo's, I have just found a collection of barb wire I bought about 20 years ago and lost it in my warehouse. I have been trying to identify them using the internet, but the pictures are so bad it's hard t see the detail. Yours are very detailed. Can you tell me the best place to use to identify this collection? Thanks, any advice would be appreciated.
Great collection Tom, absolutely fantastic wires
