I have been searching and searching to identify this item. It is marked Gowe(in cursive) 90 in a circle and 7 in a smaller circle. It is about 3" tall. I know Gowe was a German co. but I'm not able to find much on them either. The best suggestion I've had is an absinthe brouiller. But all of the ones I've looked at have much smaller and fewer holes. As you see on the bottom there is a rim that perhaps fits into another vessel. Really stuck on this one, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if this is correct or not but our son recently gave my husband a cup very similar to yours with coffee from Vietnam. His makes a VERY strong cup of coffee. If it's not correct, hope it at least gives you a new lead. :-)
