This is a brazilian rosewood French Bomb'e desk in for restoration. I am putting the trim around the dropfront which was missing. I also patched missing veneer in the drop front. The trim is being glued with hot hide glue, which was the origional glue on antique furniture. The glue looks sloppy now. After it sets up, I can wipe off the excess with a hot wet rag, then round over and smooth up the repair. also showing is the old veneer, which came from an antique rosewood bed rail. I am using it for the patches. Also the replacement trim which is solid brazilian rosewood.
