    sort but was wondering what and who used them. Super Heavy and hinged cover

      looks like a reflector attached to military vehicles,when you dont want the enemy to see the reflector drop the lid down.

      Don't think it is cast iron, looks like a "safety Reflector" from a Semi-Truck to be used on the highway. should come out and hinge into a triangle sort of affair...The case is a steel stamping.
