Bought the Lioness at an auction in Ohio, the auctioneer said it was pot metal...my partner knew otherwise. Someone sprayed painted this beauty with what I think is K-Mart gold paint. WHY! There is a picture of where the auction sticker was, and the what it looks like when the paint came off. The last picture is what it's suppose to look like.

Seek professional help and have it done properly.
Patina is everything these days on bronzes.
      The thing is really fine.
Have you seen his site. It's in French and I believe your lioness is here:

I don't know where you are but I would seek help from an art gallery or collector in your area..maybe something like blasting with baking soda ?

Reminds me of all the beautiful antique frames my grandma would spray paint gold........LOL. At least she found a new home with someone who cares.

Sent a email to a art restorer today. After checking Askart.com, this just sold last May so I willing to spend some bucks on it.

This isn't bad for a $45 buy. Almost had it for $25, but there was one bidder who snuck in right before she said Sold!
