    I think is a plane it shaves wood. It says Stanley I dont see a number or anything like that maybe someone else knows more. please comment if so.can someone tell me where to look for the No.

      It's a 'Block Plane' by Stanley, probably does not have a number.........they still make these so a date would be hard to establish, they are timeless.....
