Is that cute little blondie in front of the tree you, pop_abides? May I ask what year that photo was taken? Love your photos....and thanks for accepting my Christmas Past dare. :-)
Thanks for the Loves, marcobabe13, Manikin, and officialfuel. The Boy in the pics is my oldest son (Now 43) I'm the one carrying the stuff going to the house in the snow and my grandkids think I was there for the building of the cresh ! LOL
Oh yes, that is a G.I. Joe tower.....
Great pics, I am glad to see someone else took up the dare.
The manger scene was my Mothers and got set up every year while she was alive..
The Baby Jesus was separate and never went in until Christmas Morning, it was tradition !
Thanks scandinavain_pieces, lisa, and packrat-place..
@macrobabe13, I forgot.....................these were all taken in the early 70's, the boy in them was born in 1968.......and it wasn't me !
Thanks, Pop. I understood that the photo was your son and did my math and figured the photo was taken in the early 70s. I like your tradition of not putting in the Baby Jesus until Christmas morning. Children need to know the true meaning of Christmas. The other day on TV I saw a man interviewing children at a toy store asking the question, "What is the true meaning of Christmas?" After several cute but incorrect answers, a little girl finally said, "To celebrate the birth of Baby Jesus," and I thought-----good for her!!!
Thanks for reviving memories of my past by posting these memories of yours. Hope you and yours have a safe and joyful holiday season.
Thanks kerry and good wishes your way also...........
