The MARX company really hit a home run with this giant in the 1960s. It is a marvelous machine. It runs on four D-cell batteries and runs forward & reverse, the bucket raises & lowers, and also rotates. There's even a function that runs the plastic fireman up and down a tall two-section ladder.

I'm fortunate to have a complete piece with both ladders, both blue firemen, a manual water pump and the original box. It is a cherished toy in my collection of battery-operated toys.

Hello. I received this toy at Christmas in 1967. It was the last gift I received from my mother before she passed away in July 1968. I read that you have also the original box.Would it be possible to post a picture of the box.
      Thank you.

      JP, (my initials too!)

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your story. I'm sorry to hear about your mother. The box is at another location, but I will be sure to take a couple pictures of the box and post them here for you, Mr. Rufiange. Thanks again for sharing your story.
