What is it you want to know?

Balto dog food was made by the same company that made Puss n Boots cat food -- Balto Dog & Cat Food New England Grocery, Providence Puss'n Boots Cat Food First National Warehouse, Providence Consolidated By-Products Co., Philadelphia -- link: http://books.google.com/books?id=_MFJAAAAYAAJ&pg=RA6-PA78&lpg=RA6-PA78&dq=balto+puss+n+boots+cat+food&source=bl&ots=yihaIzTI-T&sig=mgWVhEUDot0eSpXrw3qqXGnNpWM&hl=en&ei=K_ykTN2eNIGdlgfDvoz9Cw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=8&ved=0CDkQ6AEwBw

      http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1994-04-07/features/9404070095_1_kool-six-products-original

The product was named for a real dog -- Balto - (1919 – March 14 1933) was a Siberian Husky sled dog who led his team on the final leg of the 1925 serum run to Nome -- http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=8&sqi=2&ved=0CCYQFjAH&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FBalto&ei=Sf2kTMXNLISBlAfumaWlDA&usg=AFQjCNEJn0vECkJbXZma6TknvvkJRTIH5w&sig2=ZOe6x5Hn0XvRCz0YQl1l6A

The Balto jar is listed in the fruit jar price guide (redbook #10) as beeing worth $15-20 -- http://redbookjars.com/

Find Balto items on ebay -- currently no jars -- http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_kw=balto&_kw=dog
