These beautyful pearls have a "crown"of two rose cut diamonds in rose gold settings.
Pearls are always very fashioned to hear and fitch wonderful with every trend in mode. So this earrings too. I think they were made in the Victorian earea but I am not sure of this. Do you?
Gorgeous earrings!! I'd agree with your best guess; judging by the diamond cut and setting, I would date them to the mid 1800's. And the pearls look like they'd have come right out of the wild, instead of todays cultured pearls!! The women of that era certainly did have a taste for simple exquisite beauty.
Thanks Luisa, we share our love for pearls. May I show you the also very beautyful use of little pears in this jewel? See:http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/41862-this-micro-mosaic-brooch-is-a-miracle-of?in=user
