It has been a very dry couple of weeks at the thrift. I had a spectacular run of a couple of weeks ago, then, nothing. I got excited this week as I spotted the profile of one of these guys on the shelf. I snaked my arm through the heavy crowd and snapped it up...all excited. Before I could look at it, there was another one and I repeated the snake snap routine.
Shucks, not Lisa Larson!
They are Counterpoint/San Francisco...then it says Made in Japan.
Well I couldn't leave them there, so these Jumbo S&Ps came home with me.
If anyone has a good tip on how to get the thrift "marker" off these types of items, please share.
The hunt continues...
Have a similar problem at our thrift store. They like to put stickers that do not come off easily over critical labels on items. We got a couple of San Francisco music boxes in original boxes that have a Goodwill sticker all over the label.
Hear ya trgrubaugh. I have slowly used a damp paper towel to lift those edges.
If you look at my last pic, there is the marketed price. Sometimes they scrub off, sometimes not. I use various products, including extra strength goo gone, CLR and Noxon. Most times it works, but I have a few of my key pieces that I need to do something about. Anyone?
Thanks Bellin68, you were either up late last night, or up early this morning.
"markered" dang this spelling thingy on the computer...
Still looking for some good tips!
Will try tomorrow, thanks. I am concerned as I usually like to drink my alcohol:)
Thanks Hedge you are sweet!
