This item is part of my ashtray, cigarette, tobacco collection. I purchased it at a antique store in Texas. It was not in the best of condition, but I have no plans on trying to clean it up. I kind of like it the way is. I am not sure of the date of manufacture, but it was put out by the Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp., Louisville, Kentucky. I have never been a smoker but have always liked tobacco related items. Growing up on a farm, we planted alot of tobacco that I had to help crop and cure. I have always liked tobacco items. Thanks for looking !

Thank you, PhilDavidAlexanderMorris ! I agree about being hooked, I am always on the lookout for tobacco items. It seems that it is getting harder and harder to find tobacco related items. I guess there are alot more collectors like us out there. I am also a buyer that really does not belong to just one area of collecting. If I see something unusal, or out of the ordinary, I will usually do my best to buy it. Thanks, Thrifty Gypsy

This Target tin was part of a kit of “Roll your Own” cigarettes and after you made a bunch it would hold 20 of them. Other brands were Bugler, Ripple, Bounty, Buckhorn and many more. If you wish to see more of them go to: http://www.mygerardinc.com/cigstins.html

If you want to see a real addiction to this stuff go to:
