Only example I have seen of a very unique design. I am told that there are at least 6 pieces of this wire. Patented July 27, 1880 by Jacob Stoll of Fountain City, Wisconsin patent # 230,445. The line wires cross and pass through the hole in the barb forming an axle for the barb to allow it to rotate. The one and one half inch diameter by one eighth inch thick spurs appear to have been molded or cast and tumbled. All edges are rounded and smooth. This wire would have been almost impossible to manufacture which may explain why it is not commonly found.
